Police Station

Being arrested can be a traumatic experience. You may be separated from loved ones or removed from your home. You are likely to be handcuffed, transported to a police station and placed in a cell. This can be disorientating and distressing and you can be left feeling isolated and helpless.

At Walker Law Ltd we have an experienced team ready to represent you. We attend police stations on a daily basis and always do so conscious of the fact that for the person arrested this can be a life changing event.

Regardless of your financial circumstances representation at the police station is covered by legal aid which means you pay nothing for the service. If you are arrested for an offence you are entitled to request Walker Law Ltd to represent you when you arrive at the police station. We offer expert police station representation 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.

Our emergency police station telephone number is 01344 300193 and your call will always be answered.

Magistrates' Court

If you have been charged or summonsed and are due to appear at the Magistrates’ Court, Walker Law Ltd can provide specialist advice to obtain the best possible outcome in your case.

Appearing at court can be a terrifying experience and for many it is the unknown that is so daunting. Your query may seem trivial like worrying about what to wear, or your question may be the one that everyone eventually asks, what is the worst that can happen.

Our solicitors will guide you through the court process and advise you on all aspects of the proceedings. Where necessary we can arrange a conference with you in advance of your court appearance so you know exactly what to expect.

We will scrutinise the evidence against you and advise you on its strengths and weaknesses. We will offer advice on plea and whether the case is likely to remain in the Magistrates’ Court or be sent to the Crown Court.

If applicable we will ensure that you are aware of the sentencing options available to the court and any ancillary orders that the Crown may seek. Whatever happens we will be your voice in the court room and make sure that your side of the story is told.

In all cases Walker Law Ltd will ensure that you are assigned your own solicitor, whose direct mobile number will be provided to you.

Crown Court

Whilst most cases are concluded in the Magistrates’ Court a small percentage make their way to the Crown Court. These offences tend to be the most serious and complex. Trials in the Crown Court are before a Judge and jury and even the most confident person can feel overwhelmed in this position.

Walker Law Ltd recognises the anxiety that Crown Court proceedings can cause and the negative impact it can have on your personal life during this time. We are available to support you and your family throughout the entirety of the legal proceedings.

At Walker Law Ltd we are fortunate to have our own barristers and in house advocates who can represent you. Where appropriate we instruct outside counsel from Chambers with whom we have close links. In the very most serious cases we will instruct Queens Counsel on your behalf.

As well as the barrister/advocate fighting your case in the court room we will assign a litigator who can be your point of contact on a daily basis. As a team we will do everything within our power to make sure you achieve the best possible result.
